The service
1.1The Attention Board
vmeet50 operates the Attention Board, which uses visibility and credibility to help people discover others worth knowing. On it you can:
- Create a profile for yourself or someone else and add it to the board
- Express support for, or endorse, yourself or someone else
- Browse other users
- Send a connection request to another user
The board and the way it is presented are product features of vmeet50. We may adjust how it is displayed, how it is ordered, the structure of its pages and its functionality, in line with product design, operational needs and user behaviour.
1.2Your profile
You may create a profile, which can include but is not limited to:
- A name
- An avatar
- A one-line introduction
- Personal links
- An attention price
- Contact details
Some of this may be displayed publicly and some may stay hidden; what the product pages actually show governs. You are responsible for making sure what you submit is true, accurate and lawful, and for keeping it up to date.
The Attention Board
2.1Getting listed
You can add yourself to the board by paying the relevant amount. Unless a product page says otherwise, that amount buys display, position or related platform features from vmeet50. It is not a payment to any other user, and it does not mean any other user earns anything.
2.2Boosting
You can boost a listing, yours or someone else's, to raise its position on the board. A boost can be used to:
- Raise your own position
- Support someone you believe in
- Help someone you think deserves wider attention get more of it
Boost payments are received by vmeet50 and are not paid out as income to the person being supported.
2.3Invite rewards
vmeet50 may grant boosts under the rules published at the time. For example: while you are on the board, a new user who lists using your invitation code or link earns you a boost granted by vmeet50. Boosts of this kind:
- Are granted by vmeet50, are not a payment from another user, and are not a share of any revenue
- Count toward that profile's total, and so toward its position, in the same way as paid boosts
- Are shown with their source in the profile record
vmeet50 decides the rules, the amount and whether to keep offering them, and may change or stop them at any time. Grants obtained through false or duplicate accounts, or otherwise in breach of these terms, may be reversed.
2.4Credibility and endorsements
You may support or endorse yourself or another user, and may leave a reason where the product page asks for one. Reasons must be genuine and offered in good faith, and must not be unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory or otherwise in breach of these terms. vmeet50 may review, hide, remove or otherwise act on such content as law, platform safety, product rules and operational needs require.
2.5Position on the board
Positions are ordered by each profile’s total from listings and boosts, including boosts granted by vmeet50 as described above. The exact ordering may change as the product develops. Unless a product page says otherwise, a position on the board is not certification, warranty or endorsement by vmeet50 of anyone's identity, ability, creditworthiness, income, professional standing, commercial value or any other personal attribute.
Attention price
You may set your own attention price, for example ¥500 per hour. It is price information you set yourself, expressing what you consider your time and attention to be worth. It:
- Is not the same thing as a position on the board
- Is not vmeet50's assessment of that person's value
- Is not the price of any particular product or service
- Does not oblige anyone to provide any particular service
- Is not vmeet50 brokering, guaranteeing or promising any transaction between users
If users go on to agree paid consultations, services or other transactions, they settle the terms themselves and carry the corresponding responsibility themselves.
Connection requests
4.1Sending one
If you want to meet someone listed, you can obtain their contact details through the paid feature on the product page. A connection request may involve a fee. That fee is paid to vmeet50 for use of the connection feature and related platform functionality. It is not a payment to the other user and is not remuneration, income or a settlement due to them.
4.2Whether they accept
Once a request is sent, it is entirely up to the other person whether to accept it. Paying for a connection request is no guarantee that:
- They will accept your request
- You will obtain their contact details
- They will reply to you
- They will take the contact any further
- They will provide any service
- Any transaction or collaboration will arise between you
If they decline, do not respond, or contact cannot be established, the fee is not automatically refunded on that basis, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
4.3Contact details
You may provide contact details on your profile. Your contact details are not displayed publicly. If another user sends a connection request through the platform, it is your decision whether to accept it. You must respect other users' wishes, and must not use harassment, threats, deception or any other improper means to force someone to make contact with you.
Payments, refunds and fees
5.1Who receives payment
Payments arising from vmeet50 features are received by vmeet50, Inc., a company incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States. vmeet50 uses Stripe for payment processing; payment instrument details may be handled by Stripe directly and are subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Unless expressly stated otherwise, amounts you pay on the platform are not passed directly to other users.
5.2What payments are for
Payments on the platform may be for:
- Getting listed
- Boosting
- Sending a connection request
- Other platform features released in future
The amount, the feature and the payment method shown on the payment page govern.
5.3Refunds
Unless the law provides otherwise or the platform expressly says otherwise, completed listing, boost and connection-request payments are generally not refundable. If a technical failure on our side means a payment succeeded but the service could not be provided at all, write to contact@vmeet50.com and we will deal with it on the facts.
User content
6.1It is your responsibility
The text, avatars, images, links, reasons for support and other content you publish, upload, submit or display through vmeet50 (“user content”) is your responsibility. You must make sure that:

6.3What we may do about it

- Remove or hide the content
- Restrict what the account can do
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Restrict payment or connection features
- Retain the records we need to

Where content is removed, hidden or restricted for breaching these terms or applicable law, payments for it are as a rule not refunded.
A fair board, and no manipulation
To keep the Attention Board credible, you must not manipulate it through fake accounts, bots, automated scripts, sham transactions, irregular payments, malicious repeat operations or any other means. Where we find or reasonably suspect manipulation, we may take measures including but not limited to:

- Distribute it
- Sell it
- Rent it out
- Reverse-engineer it
- Scrape or bulk-extract platform data

8.1The licence you grant us
You keep your rights in the user content you submit. By submitting content to vmeet50, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, store, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating, presenting, maintaining, improving and promoting the vmeet50 service. After content is deleted or your account is terminated, that licence may continue to the extent genuinely needed for platform operation, legal obligations, backups and dispute resolution.
Third-party services
vmeet50 may use third-party providers for infrastructure, payments, networking, security, analytics, identity verification and other services. vmeet50 currently uses Stripe for payment processing, and infrastructure and network services such as Cloudflare to support the site's operation, security, transport and related technical services. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You understand and agree that parts of the platform depend on third-party infrastructure: we select and manage providers with reasonable care, but cannot guarantee that every third-party service is always available, error-free or uninterrupted.
Changes and interruptions to the service
As the product, technology, security requirements, law or business needs require, we may:
- Add or remove features
- Change the interface
- Adjust the board's rules
- Adjust pricing
- Suspend or discontinue parts of the service
Where a significant change may materially affect users' rights, we will give notice in the manner applicable law requires. Where the service is interrupted by networks, servers, third-party services, force majeure or other causes beyond our reasonable control, we will take reasonable steps to restore it, but we are not liable for interruptions we cannot fully control.
What we do not warrant
Except where the law expressly requires it, the vmeet50 Attention Board gives no warranty as to:
- The accuracy of any position on the board
- The truth of anyone's identity or background
- The accuracy of information users submit
- That contact between users will succeed
- That any user will reply to another
- That anyone has the ability, credentials or experience they claim
- Any transaction, collaboration or relationship between users
- Any commercial, professional or personal outcome obtained through the platform
Any further communication, transaction, collaboration or relationship between users is for those users to judge, at their own risk.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using vmeet50 at any time, and may ask us to delete your account or your personal information in the way the platform provides. If you breach these terms or applicable law, or if we reasonably consider your conduct capable of harming the platform, other users or third parties, we may suspend or terminate your account or parts of the service. After termination:
- Your right to use the platform ends
- Some public content may be removed or hidden
- Information that the law requires us to keep, or that we need for disputes, fraud, security or audit, may continue to be retained
Privacy
How we collect, use, retain and protect your personal information is set out in the vmeet50 Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Minors
Except where applicable law permits, vmeet50 does not offer its services to anyone below the minimum age set by local law. If you are below that age, please do not use vmeet50. Where we find an account belongs to someone who does not meet the age requirement, we may delete the account or the related information as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms are published on vmeet50.com, and notified in an appropriate manner where the law requires it. Continuing to use vmeet50 after an update means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using vmeet50.
Governing law and disputes
Without prejudice to mandatory provisions of law in your jurisdiction, these terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise, those provisions are unaffected by these terms. The court with jurisdiction, or any other dispute-resolution mechanism, will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
